Gross weight of assembled watch without strap 33.0 dwt (51.3 g). Includes Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives. Released in the midst of the quartz crisis and coming off the severe worldwide recession of the early 1980s, this model was truly a trailblazer, entirely new in every sense of the word. This ultra complicated perpetual calendar alongside its sibling, the 3970 perpetual calendar chronograph, ushered in a new era for the complicated watch. In a world where more and more companies were being lost to history, one can't underestimate the significance of this model for Patek Philippe themselves and the greater industry as a whole.
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, perpetual calendar functions and advances properly, nearly flawless cosmetic mvt condition overall, no oxide; nearly flawless dial with light fade to 24 hour section as well as light dust on dial's surface, incredibly small marks on leap year disc at 2, next to the S in September and on dial perimeter next to the "26" dot, these are not visible unless highly scrutinized, two of these are only really visible under loupe magnification; mint hands; polished case shows little wear, hallmarks barely visible on side, small ding on bottom left lug; original crown shows hardly any wear; good sapphire crystal.
